An estate agent client of ours in Harpenden, Hertfordshire was struggling to find local sellers for their estate agency. They were getting between 3-5 valuations in their service area per month which was not enough for them to grow.
We did an audit of their Google Business Profile and found they ranked in 6th place for keywords like "estate agents near me" & "estate agents in Harpenden".
These searches are done by local residents as they are looking for an agent in their area, vs looking for a property on Rightmove or Zoopla.
We built out their GBP and optimised it for their main services to find new local sellers & landlords.
Within 3 months we moved their position to 3rd on average and the estate agency received it's highest number of valuation enquiries in over a year. The enquiry levels synced with the position move showing local SEO played a big factor.
We monitored their incoming calls from Google Maps and found there was an uplift of over 80% more calls from their Google Profile in September 2024 when compared to the 6 previous months.
A big shift in the right direction and we now aim to be in 2nd place on average before Christmas 2024!
What is the difference of website clicks between 3rd and 2nd place on Google Maps? 3rd place gets roughly 10% of clicks and 2nd gets 20%. This means just 1 position up doubles new enquires!
